Fair Housing - Legal Update 2026 (CE Marketplace Certified C138484). Tripple Whammy! This covers 1 hour Fair Housing required by Michigan (LARA) each year; 2 hours Fair Housing requied by NAR once every three years (current cycle is 1-1-25 - 12-31-27); and 2 Legal Credits required by Michigan (LARA) each year. Case studies and examples will be explored to further educate ourselves on how violations still occur such as prohibited kickbacks, gifts, lotteries, contests, and things of value that get us in trouble. Q and A for interesting discussions regarding how we need to notice potential violations of RESPA before they occur.

We will explore what the Act requires; Responsibilities upon Sellers and Buyers; Problematic situations are explored. Also, the best practices licensees should follow to make sure their clients are protected. We will also cover Exemptions, Misrepresentation, Fraud, and Penalties.

This course covers articles, scenarios, Q and A, and the enforcement processes, including what to do when you see violations occurring out in the field. We will dive into the fundamental ethical guidelines and standards essential for real estate professionals and advance our ethical awareness and duties to everyone all the time.
